To me once he has performed the slipper-misile routine he is left, ultimately, distracted by his own feat. Whilst his son continues to rant, and chaos reigns, he stops, and ponders, thinking about how well his slippers flew from his feet and where else he may be able to apply his new found talent. The game and chaos run on to him suddenly meaningless.

My biggest fear is that we'll win and then I'll simply check the 'won the league' box and be done with football.

I know what you mean, but reckon we’ll still have a lot left to get excited about.. next year will be the “back on our perch” year... After that will be the year to get the record for most league wins outright... after that the first team to win 4 consecutive consecutive leagues...

Retaining the Champions League at the end of this season would be pretty amazing...third final in a row...I'd prefer that to a points record (but would take both!)

No one is ever getting near 112 points again - anywhere in Europe. That would be totally unique in history and still a massive achievement from this point of the season with 12 to play for.

That said, that and CL is pretty close in the order of things.
