Anyway, we've gone from probably becoming the earliest crowned champions to possibly being the latest crowned.

Another record in the bag, silver linings and all that.
Funny because Dormunds CEO (Watzke) and Bayerns CEO (Rummenigge) came out and said the complete opposite for the Bundesliga that cancelling (with current standing places) and or voiding it could have a catastrophic financial effect (€770m) due to loss of TV & Sponsorship revenue

They seemed to suggest that the players contract thing was the least of their worries

If that is Bundesligas position I would imagine the Premier League costs of cancelling etc.. would be enormous

There is also talk now of Italy extending their league and to be honest the more leagues that do this the more likely it will be the same here

It looks like they would be voting for enormous losses if they cancelled or voided it

I’m still not sure why we even stopped. Playing on behind closed doors seemed perfectly sensible to me. Surely football could do regular testing and we could have got a lot more games played until the point when too many players were affected.

I think when one player got it it made everything difficult

There was something I read the other day about how because we had played Chelsea (with Hudson Odoi positive) we would have to have isolated (which we have)

                Its knock on effects

Maybe we can get the Chelsea and Athletico games replayed due to the adverse effects the early contact with Covid19 had on our replacement keeper?

The integrity of the competition surely comes into question, I just don’t see the problems with reworking the sporting calendar.

Contracts and transfer windows can be amended. That’s what Lawyers are for and how they thrive.

The fact West Ham and Karen Brady are lobbying for voiding tells you everything you need to know.

With the huge money in European football with European qualification and relegation/promotion it would make no sense to 'void' this season. Only viable option to me is to cancel the Euros (and possibly the cup competitions) to finish each league season so qualification, relegation and promotion is fair.

With a number of teams candidates for relegation it would be completely unfair to have any of them relegated. Equally talk of a 22 team league is preposterous with the schedule already overcrowded.

The biggest issue seems to be the tv broadcasters both domestic and foreign

I was reading over the weekend that one of the largest Asian broadcasters suggested that the EPL would be in breach of contract if they didnt fulfill their fixtures at some point in the future

The AFCON should also be cancelled

It won't though. It will be the one sporting event in the whole entire world that is totally unaffected
