Sadly it does doesn't it. No way our leagues get completed unless they decide to play sports behind closed doors as some sort of relief from the misery in the world

I was thinking once the peak hits they might resume some sports behind closed doors to stave off the isolation fatigue we might be feeling by then.

Is it doable to resume and play 9 games each in June? I mean we played about 400 games in the December just gone so it should be possible.

Maybe pick a few different stadium to base this around and pump in the sound of crowds for that extra realistic feeling?

I think its the cut off date they want to be able to start planning next season. I think if it cant be met, next season will impacted rather than this season not concluded.

The suppression policy that they're now following pretty much guarantees we're going to go through similar in late November early December of this year.

behind played closed doors seemed horrible 2 weeks ago but is far the best option now.

I think they might as well do something mad, test all the players/coaches/refs and if they are all free of the disease. Finish the season in 7 days in an empty stadium somewhere, 30 minute matches. Everyone plays either 9 or 10 games in a week. Have them locked down in a few hotels. Gives everyone from home something to watch. If they all agree its fair they can sign disclaimers to prevent legal challenges.

Its going to be farce either way so might as well go for it and have 3 balls in play at all times.
