Doing a read through, I share the pain of fellow reds. Last year I was super pragmatic after the defeat. I said we were a great team and we'll come again and here we are. Just a ****ing shame it is against Spurs who have two wide players to pin our fullbacks back.

Anyway, **** it. Try and enjoy the day and build up, Bobby and Robbo's stories there showed there are more important things in life.

Getting collected in an hour, drop off bags at hotel, no idea where it is. Into town and a bar with table booked in concert square. Going to get messy. Come on reds, it's our time.
    Congratulations mate!

That's quite a detour from Chester

After the tears and the heartbreak, I walked over to my parents stereo and put this on and sat in the old arm chair and took it all in again. Its funny how memories, whether good or bad, can hook themselves on to music.

14 years later and I'm waiting for us to lift the big one again, and this song, so bittersweet to me, still drags me in.

Pretty amazing that you're up already

I was up at 4am yesterday and had driven 330 miles to Cardiff and back by 11.30. Decided to stay in the office until 3 and then when I got home forced myself to do some exercise as I knew I'd be on the beer as soon as I stopped doing anything.

I could say loads more- like I am on a ****witted crashcourse off my meds coupled with the biggest comedown ever after a stag do - I ain’t got **** all left right now. Tomorrow is huge man, so huge it makes me tremble to think about getting the train to Liverpool- let alone the match.

Ah, I dunno. Win or lose, this is us. It’s who we are. This is where we have the world’s eyes upon us. Few people get to nail their colours to the mast in such glorious, vulnerable, weak yet furiously strong and fiercely proud fashion.

It’s our colours, live or die by them. This is our show.
