Firmino was quick enough over longer sprints but not the quickest over the first few yards. He was very good at dropping his shoulder on the turn in a way that put defenders off at gave him an extra half yard to turn though.
Gakpo is similar. Harvey seems quick enough over a longer sprint but his acceleration doesn’t seem great.
Coutinho was the opposite. Very quick over the first few yards but not so much over the sprints

Just an observation, but all of his crosses, shots, passes seem to be either on the deck or at about waist height, even when belting it. Coming to think of it, the goal against Southampton is the only time I remember him getting his foot under the ball. A weird quirk of his technique.
This contains a few examples!

I guess playing the ball to feet or to run onto is always the optimum.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostHas anyone ever seen Harvey kick the ball above head height? I remember Mcmanaman was good at keeping it on the deck.

He may have been quick over 5 yards, but not really a sprinter. Similar to.Jota
