He’s definitely got quicker. He’s never going to be rapid but he’s covering the pitch faster than last year. His engine is great, still running hard at the end of a game.

He had a poor first half. I think understandable given the midfield was completely new. Much better second half though.

If the whole shebang is a shambles it's difficult to know whether a player is having a mare or it's a team thing. That's why it's hard to judge the fringe players when they only get a runout as part of a whole set of adjustments.
