criticizing a player after a week is ridiculous, expecting him to push Allision is ridiculous. The vast majority of sensible lfc fans know exactly what he has been signed for, he is a back up, back ups are back ups for a reason, as back ups go hes a pretty good one. Statistically he is a much better keeper than migs, thats not an opinion, thats a cold hard fact.

It's just a **** up - all players make them, even Gerrard! If anything, be grateful he's made it at the beginning of his career with us and don't forget all the good stuff he's done in his whole week with us.

He’s been a bit of an unsung hero during our unbeaten start.

The thing with Si was he seemed to let every shot on target hit the back of the net. Even in pre season (at that ****ing Napoli game )

Adrian has actually made some important saves in every game I’ve watched.

Can’t wait for Alisson to get back in nets obvs. But have been impressed by how Ade has performed.

Sorry but that save from Rodriguez was very Alissonesque and his kicking has improved - he was pinging balls to the wings very effectively.

If Adrian continues on this good vein of form, does Alisson, on recovery, go straight back into the first team or does he stay benched? Adrian said, on signing, that he was looking to put pressure on Alisson as first choice (I think, I may have mis-remembered) so if he is automatically dropped to the bench, despite doing nothing wrong, does that then send the wrong message?

No I don't think so, Adrian is the number 2. Alisson's standards haven't dropped but Adrian's role is to make sure that doesn't happen and to be a worthy deputy if they do (which he is btw).

Even though I think he’s doing well - Alisson goes straight back in. No question.

There is no investment with Ady, so there can be no issues with him returning to the bench. I am sure he was also told he was signed as backup.

I just think it’s great we have a decent backup when you consider just over a year ago we were watching a race to the bottom between Mignolet and LoRisk.

Adrian had a good game, he is a good shot stopper and decent handler of a ball. The problem with him is on the deck, he's 32 and been playing a certain way all his career, he isn't and never will be able to play it around at the back like Alisson does.... it's just not in his locker. I know it's how we play but IMO just launch the ****ing thing & we'll be much better for it.

And when Alisson does come back, he will and should go straight back in.

yeah Becker back in straight away for me...... it's like if you have a hot girlfriend........and then lets say you go to a stag party, meet some pink-sheet bit of fluff. She does a great job, amazing in the sack and really gets you off. You still go back to your hottie at home. But it's always good to have a back up if and when you need it!!!
