              He didnt' say that. He said " I don't think they wanted to over-rule the referee on a big night". I just checked.

                      Wanting to over rule the ref isn't the point, surely the point is to get the decision right one way or another, if we are worrying about overrulling a referee we might as well scrap VAR now as there's no point.

                          It wasn't a clear and obvious error though. Within the confines of VAR, it did its job.
