    This is it!

Sheffield have surprised many with their mix of guts and good play which has taken to a deserved tenth place but they've never played a machine like Liverpool and I can only see a defeat for them and to maintain our 100% record this league season which would also be a 16th straight victory for the reds.

I always leave one deliberate mistake for someone to pick up on. I should make them harder to catch next time.

        Intriguing game.

Free hit for Sheffield Utd really.

But we should be confident and rested.

I'm swinging between very confident or surprisingly nervous, Sheffield are the sort that would have provided a banana skin for us in the past, but I'm putting Salah as captain in my fantasy team!

8 points would be great......even if it was for a few hours.

Although I am hoping that Man City have the curse of Slinky and drop points

Not a chance Everton are doing anything other than taking a beating against City. They've been really **** lately.

We're gonna drop points at some point. It might be against these. It might be against someone else.

                I'm just enjoying the ride.
                Oh I don't know.

I think we have a fair crack at 11 out of 11 this season. Then we play City...

Interestingly, Sheff U have lost 2 of their three home games, to Leicester 2-1 and Southampton 1-0. They won the other v Palace 1-0. They have better form away from home.

We should destroy them imo. Just the name of the club - and the ground / hostile reception, for anyone who's been...it's like going back in time ffs - conjures images of in your face, brutal blood and thunder football, but they're not like that anymore. They'll try and play a bit and won't be able to handle us. 0-4.

'Matip one of the best pieces of business'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on Joel Matip's good form: "He was always an incredible talent. He played as an 18-year-old in the Bundesliga. He was always a standout player.

"He doesn't always look sensational when he moves because of his height but he grew and developed with the team.

"In a world of big transfer fees, signing a player like Joel on free is incredible. Probably one of the best pieces of business we did in the last few years.

"He is in a really good moment. Long may it continue - that would be really cool."

                        'Wilder's team is interesting'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "Alisson and Sadio Mane both trained yesterday. Sadio is normal. No issues. Ali is in a good way. He was not with us but had a full session with the goalkeepers.

"He is getting closer and closer. He is not in contention for tomorrow but it looks like he can train with the team from Sunday. He is really close. In the last two weeks he progressed really, really well so credit to the medical staff. Xherdan Shaqiri is not ready. He is doing rehab.

On Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder: "It is incredible what he is doing. I am looking forward to meeting him - it will be the first time. His team is really interesting.

"What they do, they do really well. They are aggressive, good pressing and then when they have the ball it is an interesting pattern when the centre-halves overlap.

"I've been in England for four years so I don't know everything historically but they are a big club and deserve to be in this league. For sure, a really great coach. Looking forward to facing his team."

'We want to fight like challengers'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "We just want to go to Sheffield United and make their lives as uncomfortable as possible.

"We don't want to behave like a top team - playing, yes - but we want to fight like a challenger. They are playing in their own stadium. Is it alright that they run more than us? No. Is it alright they fight more than us? No. The boys will be ready."

                        'We're relentless'

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold speaking to the club's official website: "We’re relentless I think. We’re just trying to keep going, we’re not focused on whether it’s a five-point gap or we’re chasing, it’s just about what we can do going into every game, trying to get the three points, trying to win, not focusing on any other teams and where they are in the league.

"It’s just about us pushing ourselves to our limits and making sure we’re the best possible team we can be, making sure the performances are right and that we’re getting the right results.

"Then when it comes to March, April, that’s when you start to look at the league to see where you are, but until then we’re just trying to get the points on the board.”
