Lallana was poor last night and gave possession away on far too many occasions

Loved the commentary leading up to Origi’s second:
Beglin: I mean you could declare Liverpool a long ball team, but not that kind of long ball team. Here’s another..
Drury: Lovren... that’s a super ball. WHAT A TOUCH! WHAT A FINISH! WHAT A MAGNIFICANT GOAL!...from Divock Origi. That was sumptuous!Another MASSIVE game

He was poor for meOriginally posted by foresterbloke View PostHe was nowhere near poor. Yeah he gave the ball away a couple of times but others did too. I thought he had a good game.
Hes far too slow, hes got really great feet but he holds on to the ball too long
For me until we brought Hendo on we had no control in midfield and whilst that wasnt solely down to Lallana he was a major contributing factorBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Goal at OT apart, Lallana doesn't do much more than fill a shirt these days..

But in that United match he played the ball very quickly which shocked me
Back to normal service yesterday, too many touches and too slow in areas where you have to move the ball quicklyBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Commentators were praising him for his massive workrate off the ball.
I guess that is quite difficult to appreciate on the TV. And it's probably why our midfield is generally not that well appreciated tbh. Despite the fact that they are crucial to the whole team working.
But basically, if Klopp is happy with a player, then so am I. I'd take his opinion on these things every single time.Oh I don't know.
