I know it's not much, but McCoist raved about him on Amazon when he came off in the second half, said he'd had an excellent game. I didn't see him as excellent myself, but he definitely wasn't a weak link.

He seemed genuinely delighted to be at Anfield
Oh I say his vision there was lovely

Lol, I think you and a few others are too harsh. He may well have held onto the ball a few times last night and got caught up in possession (I can remember maybe twice that happening) but he was nowhere near "poor". His pressing was very very good and he was involved in the first goal, releasing Mane. None of the lads who came on last night had a bad game. They all justified their selections.Originally posted by Lecter View PostWith our eyes instead of out of our arse

Which is basically what I said initially hey. I was a little frustrated with the lad for holding onto the ball too long occasionallyOriginally posted by Fredo View PostLol, I think you and a few others are too harsh. Nah.Originally posted by Deano View PostThought Lovren cost us the two goals though, First one fell over the ball, and the second a wild hack and miss
First one is a slight slip. Can happen to anyone.
Second one, him and VVD were in a line together - synchronised. The attacker checked his run and found space. The hack was an attempt to rectify the positioning - a last ditch attempt to do something. He was nowhere near the ball and could never have reached it. None of the defence was. Clumsy as it looked, it was probably better than standing and watching.
And he created a goal from nothing too.Oh I don't know.
