I don't think we will, not unless we sign a proper forward. ORIGI ain't the answer

we buy a striker or we are screwed next season, teams have worked us out & a sterile midfield screws us

The squad is getting stale, with none of the fringe players pushing the first 11. It would be a massive mistake not to strengthen from a position of strength again.

Our players might start to see us as unambitious. Wierd how it feels like we are ending the season on a downer. But if the fans feel this way, it will be affecting the players too.

Because we won't have the distraction of finishing Europe over summer. We get a proper rest while our competitors will play near non stop

That puts it in perspective. When it mattered we were ****ing on it.

That tiny drop in intensity clearly matters.....but I still think if we are flogging the same lads again next year I’m not sure they can do it without some fresh legs and competition

signings are imperative, we need to be able to look to the bench and not see a drop off in quality for the front three. Thats what City have.

We also need to be able to rotate and rest the front three from time to time, again without seeing a drop in quality.

I don’t think it’s an intensity drop off but definitely at times in games, we’ve switched off. We did play well for large parts vs City and even tonight, second half was great for 30 minutes. We do lack a clinical edge though, and should be killing out games more often rather than having to shoot ourselves in the foot with mistakes when we should be 3 or 4 goals ahead.
                        Are we winning?

Re signings. We do need a left back and possibly another experienced centre half for cover and someone who would be pushing Salah. He has been guilty of missing out guilt edged chances lately and this will cost us points next season. I can’t see us signing anyone without selling first though.

                            That's complacency.

Its also not a statement that we shouldn't bother signing anyone.

Or a panic attack that after 3 months of not playing football with the league all but won the intensity isn't quite as strong as it was for the previous 7 months of the season.

If we don’t buy a striker we’re screwed... really?? Why? We didn’t buy much last summer, and we managed fine this season..

Don’t get me wrong, I hope we do bring in some talent and think it’s a good idea to strengthen from a position of strength- this is the first time in my lifetime that I reckon any player in the world would like to play for us, we should take advantage of that...

But if we don’t, I don’t think we are screwed- far from it! Worst case scenario, we are competing for the title.. if we get a similar points tally again, I don’t see city or anyone else competing..
                                I don't tip
