Yeah I read that, but I thought that this had been voted down by the clubs a few weeks ago.Originally posted by Fredo View PostThe club will be pushing for the 5 substitutes rule to carry on in the new season, Klopp has confirmed. This will be reconsidered this week apparently.
If it's still up in the air maybe that is why we haven't really moved anyone on yet.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Clubs voted it down last time, because it only benefits the big clubs, I can't see why it would be different next time.Originally posted by Fredo View PostApparently being reconsidered this week. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think this was a bit of a myth. Players actually came to him after the final whistle in Istanbul, don't think this can count as "taking the credit". Houllier gets too much stick on the whole anyway; he was the one who broke that drinking culture and set us up for the modern ways of football management. The modern day Melwood was mostly influenced by him.Originally posted by Yozza View PostNotice how GH is still trying to take credit for 2005?Are we winning?

“When I came into the changing room in Istanbul some of the players said: 'Boss it's your team'," Houllier recalled.
“Twelve out of 14 in Istanbul were players I had signed or developed. I left Liverpool with a team and in the Champions League. But when you finish seventh with Torres and Gerrard...”

I can remember where I was when so much of the doc took place. Really emotional. What a club. What a journey!
I was watching with my wife (who really enjoyed it too) listing where I was for all those goals through the eras.Oh I don't know.
