Maybe I looked at this differently (alcohol and all that) but was I the only one who thought there was a subtle dig at the lack of a crowd/noise at the Etihad referenced as well and the technical explanation was just a way of covering that up?

I think that if you believe that the crowd influence the team and are the '12th man' having a greater influence than other teams supporters as we often suggest. Then to me it follows that if you take away the fans from all grounds then that would (should) affect us more than other teams. If it doesn't then we are overplaying the crowd influence at Anfield in normal circumstances...

I prefer BT coverage. There's something about Sky..the fact that their growth coincided with Utd's dominance...and they have thousands of hours of footage of Utd winning stuff and feel the need to show it all the time...and the Murdoch thing...I just resent them. BT feels fresh and new by comparison and they recognise that LFC and City and their rivalry is what matters now.
