As is obvious, I am a pessimist and it would be irrational to think it will happen, but I do actually believe that it might. At least it leaves the option of being pleasantly surprised.
We need optimists to life the pessimists and pessimists to temper the optimism of the optimists.

Even with a nominal conversion rate (of a mid-table side - a goal every 10-15 shots) we'd have won a number of those draws under normal circumstances.... even with VAR still ****ing things up constantly, ****e refereeing and teams putting eleven behind the ball.

In spite of everything, we've created chances... we just haven't finished them off.
Scoring a few goals is going to help us massively!!!

nah, just a limp like Kevin Spacey in the usual suspects. Plays through it, but ends up as slow as Williams.

I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

            Ha.

At least united have some competition, things were even worse a few days ago.

WHU next, time to hammer home our CL status and put some breathing space between us and them. Leicester have a seamingly easy run coming up

Salah is there. Firmino is getting back. Mane is looking hungry for the first time in a long while and TAA can manage a whole game with the same intensity. Screw the CBs, these guys were our main problem and they all seem to be over it.

Hoping to stuff West Ham now. They won't get near Rhys and Nat.

Was expecting Utd to win last night, and worrying we might - what, lose? Draw? tonight then we would be potentially 9 points behind them. Instead we are 3 behind them. Huge 24 hours for us.

I’m not talking title, I’m talking too 4.

Title is impossible with no defenders.

Impossible to get any rhythm making that many changes.

I have no memory of Gomez and Williams playing three games together and not letting a single goal in.

Hendo just back from injury is now our most experienced Centre Back. Absolutely mental.

With Fab out, Matip out, Hendo just back from injury, you could easily argue we need 2 loan CB signings.

City waited until this summer to sort out their centre back issues. Maybe we'll have to bite our lip this season before we improve that position.
                              Are we winning?

City have spent hundreds of millions on their defence to sort it. They work off a blank cheque so we can't compare ourselves to their situation.

The premier league champions having zero fit CBs and going into a season with 3 CBs, 2 of which are injury prone CBs was a stupid idea and we've paid for it.
