big time had a nightmare for those 2 or 3 months. The crazy thing was that we had just beaten palace away 7 nil. We were missing Virgil and Joe but we were still cooking on gas.
When you look at the last 3 seasons, then there is that ****ty spell this season - but apart from that we have been practically perfect. Yes we were ****ed over by injuries but to be honest when 2 of the front 3 hit brick walls - and the back up fella was injured - then that is where we struggled. The back up of the defense was patchy. But the back up in attack let us down. Origi, Oxlade, Keita......none of them stepped up to be honest.
I do have big hopes for next season though. I think we will strengthen in 2 or 3 positions and I think if we can get over most of our injury problems, then we will genuinely be back on it.

Had we not drawn against Newcastle and Leeds, we'd be 1 point behind United, and when you think the games we were robbed of a last minute goal (Everton for example), we'd be in 2nd position even after that "disastrous" spell when we lost 6 on the bounce at home.
