    Absolute nonsense.

33 year old costing hundreds of millions.

    Jesus Christ.

He'll be getting enormous back handers from City's owners off the books. A free penthouse apartment in New York here, a mansion in Abu Dhabi there. They'll be paying half his wages into some offshore shell business or something as well.

He wouldn't fit in our team, would be useless in the counterpress. **** him and **** them.

Who ever signs him is not getting the best ever version of Messi.

Yeah - 33. A 5 year deal would take him to 38! Mind you, Jimmy Anderson and Roger Fed are doing ok.

Jimmy Anderson...what a legend, still unplayable at times at 38

I really hope City will put all their eggs in the Messi basket. They will essentially lose 5 km. from their starting XI, they don't need to improve their attack but their defence needs a look. This could backfire spectacularly.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Particularly if they have to pay a £600m transfer fee and £100m a year in wages (including tax)
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'd rather he not go to city. Him linking with De-bruyne is not a wonderful thought

                    Is FFP suspended for 2021?

Thats the only way it could work.I doubt anyone would pay more than 200m, though

                      FFP doesnt apply to city.

“No one expects us to sign Mr Messi, Our chief reason is the transfer fee, the transfer fee and the wages; two chief reasons, the transfer fee and the wages, and he's in decline ! Er, among our chief reasons are: the transfer fee, the wages, he's in decline and his near fanatical devotion to the Man City Manager! Um, I'll come in again...”

Messi, 33, £100m in wages and the like. Do me a favour. He's been protected to **** by refs in Spain. He'll get absolutely smashed one of the first City games away to Leeds and end up in a heap on the touchline with a bag of mixed metatarsals... He won't survive a season without serious injury in the Premier League.

I totally agree he’ll be targeted but do you think the Refs might sunder pressure from the FA to protect the investment?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
