It’s a concern, but also it’s also true that the player’s focus and intensity in the empty Anfield games was faultless. We battered everyone, including Burnley. 9 times out of 10 that performance wins that game too.

i think it could also be argued that Anfield could work against us sometimes. If the opposition keeps a clean sheet in the first half, and it gets to say, 65mins and it's still goalless, then that could sometimes invert the pressure.

Obviously the last 2 or 3 seasons that wasn't a problem because we've been a machine.

I think when we get to tricky Champions League games, it could certainly cost us not having the crowd. City at Anfield will be interesting this season too - the crowd have got to them over the last few years.

There's nothing like a packed Anfield, teams **** themselves coming there & fans can spur the players on and give them that lift. Even a partial crowd would be nice

Anfield in Europe is massive. Not so. Much for the PL.

We won't be anywhere near the levels of last two seasons, that'd be impossible surely. But as we've won the ****ing lot I'm pretty relaxed about it all.

It’s highly possible we won’t be having a full packed Anfield for the season. If we are having crowds, it’ll be for a percentage of capacity only, likely to be less than 50%.
              Are we winning?

That is true... luckily though, as our ears measure sound intensity on a logarithmic base 10 scale, a 50% crowd would be much more than a 50% atmosphere!

This was covered on football focus earlier. Singing or cheering won't be allowed which is what's been happening on early experiments.

No point going to a game then?

It'd be quite surreal. I did see the Glentoran Irish league final and there was definite cheering when the goals went in.

Haha really?! Tbf I imagine that would be similar to how fans weren’t allowed to gather in groups after the league was won! What are they planning to do if people sing?

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Keita, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Fabinho, Milner, Jones, Minamino, Origi, Matip.

                            Decent subs bench.

No Brewster? Doesn’t bode well for the lad.
It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

Fabinho can feel hard done by there.

I'd have Matip instead of Gomez all day long but otherwise, that's a strong team and cracking bench.
