Some good performances - I hope we don’t sell Shaq. He is do lively on the ball and his delivery is superb. He’s really worth keeping.

Divock on the other hand just looks like things pass him by - no urgency to him. A legend for his goals but behind Jota and Taki now.

Neco still needs some work on his defensive side and concentration - been caught a few times

Same re: shaq. Weirdly he offers something different. One worry is injuries catching up with him.

Origi (who just scores vs Pickford lite), needs games to prove what he can do but he's been awful except for some early decent pressing.

Hoever was ahead of Neco for me but Hoever wasn't a specialist RB. Good learning experience this for the likes of Neco though, a free hit.

Neco’s positioning at times tonight has been crap.

Jones had a good game as did Minamino, I thought looked decent, but I would have liked to have seen a bit more from a few people, it's difficult as it's a team that will rarely play together.

I don't quite get the hype about neco Williams yet, not like he should be written off, still bags of time to develop but needs to cut out pointless stepovers that just slow the pace down.

He does, he's 19 and it was his debut but he switched off a few times. I think if koumetio was fit he'd have played.

I thought Rhys Williams did well. Looked confident on the ball. Played out well. Decent turn of pace. He’s only 19 so obviously a way to go but that was a decent debut.

To be fair he was decent first half next to VVD, I don't think taking the lead from Fabinho who is a DM playing at CB helps. I thought we sat too deep second half, VVD would have pushed the side 10 yards or so further up the field.

Jones, Taki, Grujic & Shaq all had a great game. Tsimikas played well too. Think Taki should have been MOM for me. Important minutes for some and a good run out for the others. On to the next round and double Arsenal next week!

Yea that's a fair point. Don't get me wrong I don't think he did bad. Just one moment in the second goal where he was flat footed when the ball comes back off the croasbar. I think it was already in by that stage but you have to follow that up and that's just a concentration / anticipation thing.

Problem for all the youngsters now is that you pretty much have to be world class to break into the team as a regular so you have to be superb when you get your chance. The bar is set so high.
