He looks a proper spitfire pilot... Of course, he'd never fit in one

My head almost literally exploded when I saw his name on the teamsheet. 'Why the **** why Jurgie Baby!?!' was all I could muster as a cohesive thought.

Surprise, surprise Mane stunk tonight. Not his fault, really poor team selection.

He'll need a rest on Saturday now as he's looking exhausted. Maybe that was Jurgen's gamble to rest him on Saturday anyway.
        One tit for another.

tempo was shocking tonight, but front 3 didn't help at all, no real out ball to them, it just kept coming back.

Full backs really struggled tonight also.

Move on, nothing to see here

Hate losing, especially at home. Gotta admit to being in a bit of a strop.
            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Understandable performance really. The schedule is relentless.
              Are we winning?

Plus he doesn't offer much going forward to offset his defensive shortcomings.
He comes on in games where Klopp makes lots of changes. And you could throw that at Arnold in the earlier days as well, and he got pelters at the time - and has Aston Villa suddenly disappeared from our collective memory?

As a general rule whenever Jurgen puts a team out where he makes changes in different areas of the pitch (I'm not including keepers here as that is self-evident) we are pretty ****. We then look at the incomers and blame them. Someone tell me who shone tonight particularly?

The one thing I think Williams really needs to get back now is his crossing, which was exquisite in the U23s.

Perhaps aye. Different story without so many injuries but frustrating we have a glaring gap at CB.

And when did Lineker become such a ****. Jurgen "whining" about the fixture pile up?

I actually don't think Trent is a fantastic defender either, and he's quite capable of sloppy passing, but he's got attacking ability that offsets the defensive negative points.

Everyone looked **** tonight, we had Mane and Salah up front and still didn't manage a shot on target, in fact they were both largely anonymous.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I’m not too concerned about the defence. We defended ok today. Had we played with the tempo we played when we played them away, we wouldn’t have lost this game. We probably would have won it.

Klopp's full-backs need to transition from defence to attack and back again quickly and at the right time. It's a proper skill to learn, and it's drilled in rigorously. When it goes right it's fantastic, when it goes wrong it's a bit of a disaster and it relies on the rest of the team playing their part in that system as well. They're not just there to defend. It takes time to learn which is why they make mistakes to begin with. I'm not happy with the crticism some of our young players are getting, especially when for us it's such a team performance. Which may be apparent .
