We only had 4 shots. None on target. I know we all look for scapegoats (or escaped goats) but a young right back is too easy a target. It was a very poor team performance. We’re going to see more of these type of performances this season. Too many games in a short space of time (on the back of a weird stop start last season).
    Another MASSIVE game

First game I haven't watched in years. I felt it, wonder if the players did as well. I think we can be totally forgiven for the loss especially as Atlanta were fired up.

Don't read too much into the media. They love a headline. BBC even had to remove a their own post last night saying: 'will Liverpool's run at Anfield finally come to an end?' even though we had lost in CL last season

It was a poor performance but with so many changes it's maybe not a massive surprise. I think last night we saw why Robertson is played pretty much every game, we need one of our two main fullbacks on the pitch it feels to be really effective, feel a little bit for Neco Williams as he doesn't look quite ready yet to me, always looking for that extra touch but that could also be because of who he had around him as well.

Not the end of the world and better that performance happened last night that say at the weekend vs Brighton.

Neco needs help with his outlet ball- if he hesitates when pressed, he either tries to turn (might lose it) or goes back to keeper - safer, but no end product. I think the hesitation is the lack of movement ahead of him. I hope Jurgen can come up with a solution to the 'press Neco' plan...

The one thing we do keep forgetting is this is invaluable experience for Rhys, Curtis and Neco. Full opposition team intensity which should see some or all of them upgrade into hardened first XI or reliable bench players.
              One tit for another.

I wish Milner started at right back but then would Fabinho have to start in midfield?

No wonder Klopp was pissed at Keita's injury.

Yeah we hoped they had what it takes & save us money on upgrades so who really expected the finished article straight away? It’s unfair & unreasonable to expect too much from 3 young guns like these guys.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

                    Or Conor Randall.
