This is the happiest I've been after a game probably since we won the title. I was hungover today, which might explain a lot, but before the game and in the early parts of the match I felt genuine anxiety - heart racing, tight chest. It's the league table - I can't stand it. Spurs won and Chelsea, City and even ****ing United are all uncomfortably close to us. We've got used to being about a zillion points clear and I'm hating the table. Winning tonight felt absolutely vital, so to turn in a performance like that with 5 strongest XI starters missing and two 19 year olds in the team was amazing. What a performance, what a buzz.
Also agree that Tyldesley and McCoist hugely add to the viewing experience. It's unfathomable that Tyldesley got binned by ITV, and Sky and BT have really missed a trick not taking him (and McCoist).
I had a tear in my eye for the YNWA before kick off. The fans were brilliant.
What a great night. Into my 2nd bottle of red.

Brilliant to see fans inside Anfield again.
A limit of 2000 is pathetic though, but I understand we have to start somewhere.
A more realistic number would be 10% of capacity, providing adequate stewarding is in place.
I'm not sure city could find 10% though...
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

That really grates, and personally I'd like us to win a couple of games in hugely scabby fashion, like Man Utd do all the time, just to redress the balance and exorcise those demons. So much about those two games, especially Everton, linger in the mind and do genuine damage to one's mental health.Originally posted by Fredo View PostWe should be 4 points clear really. Brighton and Everton come to mind.

Everytime I hear that Thiago is going to be out a while longer I get more and more angry and every VAR decision going against us takes me back to that last minute winner being ruled out makes me irrationally hate VAR even more.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
