Why would you rest Thiago? He's missed half the season. He's more than likely just getting to optimum match fitness.

Something on sky earlier. Brighton create loads of chances, have loads of touches in the opposition box. Like 6th or 7th best in the league. But ranked last for conversion rate. Just found it interesting, hopefully they'll come to play and we can get behind them.

We owe them after that draw at their place.

Not sure we can afford to rest too many tbh & id go with the same starters from last night with only Millie making way for Jones or Ox.

If we have at least one new CB it will be interesting to see what happens here, would we throw Davies (or someone else) in for this one with only a couple of days training? Presumably if we did they would be partnered by Henderson who can talk them through the game. If we sign two I don't see both starting...

It would be harsh on Phillips.

I think Davies is a signing in case someone else gets injured and maybe challenge Phillips if he settles in well. The other potential signing seems to be more of a potential first Teamer.

See it's an odd one for me Phillips was surplus to requirements at the start of the season and is only really here because no one would pay anything for him. And despite his improvement I don't see him being here next season. It would be odd to bring someone in as effectively a backup or replacement for Phillips (although possible given we are desperate). I think we must view Davies as a better long term option than Phillips but in the short term Phillips has done OK and knows the system.

I think we are looking short term first so purely at this season.

However if we don’t have fans back by the summer it’s possible signings will be limited again so he’ll have had 6 months of seeing what Klopp can do with him. We literally need bodies with Hendo having been injured as recently as a few weeks ago.

For the sort of money quoted it’s a no lose scenario.
