Need to keep focus.
Not so much here, more elsewhere, but there's too much concentration on the City game - even Sky twice last night said 'and up next for Liverpool, Man City......how do you think that will go?' etc
Not overly concerned about us not turning up for that, but its games like this one that we've looked ponderous and wasteful.
Win this......even better if we looked switched on.....and we'll be well placed the burst back into the title race on Sunday."I will make the boys feel your support"

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

will be interesting to see the line up....
------------------------------ALISSON----------------------------
TRENT---------NAT----------------------HENDO----------ROBBO
----------------------THIAGO----------GINI-----------------------
-------------------------------OXLADE-----------------------------
SALAH-----------------------FIRMINO--------------------MANE---
Something like that for me. Maybe Shaqiri for Oxlade???
Hopefully we get to see one of our new defenders get some minutes - meaning we are a few goals up

Fabinho wasn't expected to be back until hopefully the City game, frustrating about Mane though, presumably same team as West Ham, maybe try to get Kabak/Davies on for a few mins late on if they are able to train, and the game situation allows.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostKlopp says "as it was" re injuries, which sounds like no Mane or Fabinho ffs.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I actually think the more games we have with one of the front three missing/injured or rested at the minute, it'll do us good. It means either Shaq or Div or Ox comes in for game time, plus it means the opposition aren't 100% sure how we'll play... plus, our front three will be providing different movement and options based on whoever comes in and our style of play will change slightly. We were becoming flat and predictable with the same front three... performances suffered.
The more unpredictable, the better chance we'll have of finding spaces to run into... Just my opinion, I'm sure plenty on here will disagree...

Klopp has got to get hold of the new CB's first and let them know how we tick " so you two are the centre backs, if you look along the defensive line you will see your full back has belted up the wing over the half way line, your job is to cover the centre and the space where the full back should be, easy eh?"Originally posted by Shaggy View PostMy view is we'll sell Phillips and Matip in the summer, and go with VVD, Gomez, new CB and Davies as the 4, but I'd be amazed if any newbies play a game in the next week or two.

Can Milner manage another game? I think we need to freshen up a bit, so I can see Jones and the Ox starting, and maybe Bobby getting an hour. It sounds now like Divock is in as much for his height as for his attacking genius, so maybe Shaq stands down along with Milner and one other.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostFabinho wasn't expected to be back until hopefully the City game, frustrating about Mane though, presumably same team as West Ham, ...

I forgot Bobby didn't start at West Ham, yes him I'm to give Shaq a rest and maybe Jones in for Milner, he's ahead of Ox in the pecking order for me.Originally posted by Paul12 View PostCan Milner manage another game? Unless he is injured I think so. Isn’t Milner commonly regarded as the fittest member of the squad? That said I can see him starting v City.Originally posted by Paul12 View PostCan Milner manage another game? Why rest Shaq? He's played less than 10 games all season for us.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI forgot Bobby didn't start at West Ham, yes him I'm to give Shaq a rest and maybe Jones in for Milner, he's ahead of Ox in the pecking order for me.
Unless he's injured I'd play him.
