That’s not how injuries work, and he just came back from a 2nd serious knee injury 3 months ago.
He could have done everything possible in his rehabilitation, but that doesn’t guarantee you get back to anything like the level you were before.
Yaaa fair enough, he might be doing everything right in his rehab, but the reality is since that first long injury, he’s never reproduced the kind of form we saw before it, and I don’t think he ever will.. If we have a fully fit squad, I don’t think ox even makes the bench! Yet he’s one of our biggest earners- earning more than Mane, Gini, Trent, Robbo, etc..
Same goes for Naby. They’ve both had their chance and have blown it. Too expensive to be 6th and 7th choice midfielders
But, unless the owners are going to go for broke - and they wisely haven't been inclined to do that to date - we just cannot afford many new players (even two centre backs, one midfielder and one strike is more than we dare hope) so it is either Bosmans or gentle transition unless we get alot for the players you mention, which just seems unlikely when money is tight for everyone.
How do you you know the state of his knee? Are you are doctor?
It’s the injury he received (ruptured patellar tendon) is about as bad as you can get. After it happened I listened to a podcast where a elite athlete physiotherapist spoke about it - in American football ma y players don’t even get back playing - he described the surgery as stitching two horse tails together
