Do not disagree that Henderson or Fabinho would make a difference if one or both played instead of Milner and/or Wijnaldum.

My point is more that when you have two midfielders stinking up the pace as much as Milner and Wijnaldum did today, then it would be very hard for any midfielder to come in and be the difference maker on his own.

I think Milner is at a point where he needs less games in a season or games at a lower level, and that is no disrespect to him as he is a 35 year old player whose body cannot be expected to just keep on going and being expected to carry a badly depleted team.

Wijnaldum for me is a liability at present too as he seems to be going through the motions. For me he is like that guy who has handed in his notice and is just cruising through his final weeks at work.

But what we do have in Wijnaldum and Milner are two senior pros who do not seem to talk the younger and/or newer players trhough games anymore. Both have noticeable started to talk less on the pitch and seem to have become more like wallflowers than players that stand out in their leadership.

Just look at how the midfield is moving now with both off.

I don't know that Wijnaldum and Milner play as badly with Henderson in there, IMO they are playing **** because the they don't know how to play. When Henderson is in there he is constantly shouting and directing them telling them when to press etc and they play well because of that, even in the last couple of years when their form has been good, the midfield has been awful when Henderson isn't in there.
