Both windows go down, Carragher gobs - which can be seen flying through the open window, the girl is heard saying: "he spat on me".

For those cheering on the ‘save man Utd’ protests, just what is the worthy cause? They are one of the biggest clubs in the world, they’re second in the league, they’ve got a manager popular with fans, they outspend almost everyone else, and more than the vast majority of the football pyramid combined, what else do they want? If the Glazers didn’t take money out then what? They could buy total success on the pitch, build a stadium on the moon, what?

I think there’s a similarity to our title celebrations last year- where it might have been mostly peaceful but the 1% of clowns that damage property etc, are the ones that dominate the headlines and brings bad name to the rest of us, as LFC fans- so I don’t wanna say how horrible united fans are etc, because in reality it could have been fans from any club.

However, really pisses me off when Neville and carragher say it was just the 1 or 2 idiots- it was hundreds, maybe thousands who broke into the stadium.. Neville saying most of those who came into the stadium were peaceful- what a stupid mentality to have.

And all the talk on sky is about the message of the protest, did they go too far etc, no one is talking about how poor the security is. They knew there was planned protests, and they weren’t able to keep the stadium secure?! Security should have been much easier today than on a normal, non covid season match day, as there was not meant to be any fans inside the stadium at all... I’m not sure if it’s a problem at old trafford, or at prem league stadiums in general, but it’s pretty scary to think that this could happen- imagine what might have happened, if the protest was scheduled for during the game, and they got into the stadium while the players were there. And if a mob of protestors can get into the stadium this easily, could a terrorist?
        I don't tip

Make no mistake this protectionism from the Sky and their puppet pundits protecting their own interests.

It's already been pointed out on the forum but Murdoch doesn't own Sky - it's owned by the US corporation Comcast.

He certainly started the ball rolling when he said words to the effect that football (sport) would be used as a battering ram to drive his pay-tv business. And subsequent owners of Sky have kept that ball rolling.

True, but he did when the current football structure was devised and he started throwing money at the majority of people currently publicly lamenting the state of the game.

There's no question that a mega money TV deal was a central component in the plan to from the Premier League; the clubs themselves (and the players) were more than happy to be used as the battering ram and reap the financial rewards.

At least Carragher seems to be getting a bollocking at the back, so thats good.

So what exactly was achieved tonight? No apparent agenda other than ‘Glazers out’.
