Unfortunately I think you are right.

They will drop three, we will drop two (heads melting here when we do) and beat them on goal difference
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

As a fall back, I would settle for that

I obviously hope City go out against Madrid in the CL. I would hate to lost to them in the CL final - and to be honest, I think finals with 2 teams from the same country are kind of crap anyway.

However, what do people think is a more likely scenario for them to lose points in the league? If they have a CL final to look forward to - so Pep rests and rotates? Or if their confidence is down having been knocked out by Madrid???

Would be amazing if Madrid beat them on Wednesday night and then Newcastle got a point off them at the weekend!!!

The CL Final is a full week after the domestic season ends, so I doubt it's going to have any effect on rotation for league games.

I hope Madrid knock them out.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If we're going to lose the CL then it can't be to City after all the Quadruple crap that's being talked up

Yep, the final should have some nostalgia behind it as it was when we beat Madrid back in 1981 with a winner from Alan Kennedy...over to you, TAA!...no pressure, honest!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Revenge for 2018 would also be nice.

Absolutely. Almost as big as the whole ‘City; urgh’ aspect is that I want to us beat Madrid in the final.

No Ramos or Karius gives us a better chance this time

It is crazy that, about eight or nine games out one looks through the fixtures and say "well they all look 3-pointers". people talk about Ferguson's United, but they were not as fearsome as these two teams in terms of their ability to win game after game after game.

And Bale with his Jammy potshots that simply had to find the net both times.

He's back there, think he may play a part if they reach the final
