I seem to remember someone saying that Chelsea were out performing alot of metrics and that it wasn't sustainable, but I can't seem to find it now though.

Was it this from the Other matches thread?

This is insane. Their numbers are massively outweighing their performance at both ends of the pitch.

Yeah, we outperformed most metrics IIRC.

I think the team that wins the league is always likely to out perform the metrics. Our title winning season saw us score 85 goals when the xG had us on 75 and conceded 33 against an expected 39 those are out performing expectations by 10-15% Chelsea's numbers albeit early in the season so based on low stats are by far exceeding that which I guess is why people are questioning if that is sustainable.

we outformed xg due to Mane/Salah much better than the average finishers + inverted wingers so generally scoring low xg chances compared to conventual players, we also got sloppy at the back in 2-0 and 3-0 games giving up big chances that meant nothing.

Chelsea have rode their luck outperforming the metrics, I fancy them to improve offensively rather than continue to defy the stats.

They got through to the next round of the league cup tonight, they could find themselves in a tricky situation staying in the domestic comps, Europe and World Club Cup in the mix.

Their last 10 or so league games are a stroll so we need them to drop off by the end of Jan ideally.
