Fab, Thiago and Hendo of last night is a game changer - keep them fit and the rest of the team will excel
Thought Ox looked the most lively, picking up the ball and running with it, accurate passes, some good looking crosses into the box. Having Fab there to do the dirty work gave him (and Hendo) the freedom to just play, chase and harry to their hearts content.
Feels like we are not yet to hit our top gear, VVD is finding his rythm, Robertson has been off, Hendo as well, Fabinho in and out, injuries in midfield but I still have that feeling that the team is on an upwards curve yet.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
As good as an unbeaten run it is, we're still 4th IF we lose today, so we're hardly pulling up trees.
Some, myself included, may go a little overboard when we drop points, whilst others exaggerate the positives when we win. The fact is that we could be doing better. My concerns are highlighted by our play when the opposition have been down to 10 men and we've failed to score on several occasions this season, highlighting maybe a problem of ours in breaking down a team who are prepared to park the bus. The issue being the midfield magic and creativity I think we miss and drop in form from some players. Injuries also have a bigger impact on us over Chelsea and City.
And if we win, we're still unbeaten, one point off top, in knock out stage of CL with 2 games to spare, in QF of league Cup and currently have the best player in the world.
Considering many had thought we'd struggle to get top 4 and that our forward line was past it, what more could you ask for at this stage?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
