yup it does seem across the board. I understand rising operating costs etc but some businesses are just jumping on the bandwagon. Madness

But speaking of Temble Bar and over priced things in that area....Is that abomination Break For The Border still in business? Got dragged in there years and years back and am still scarred by the experience. Super bar my arse it was all line dancing **** wits and me without a chansaw. Was up there with Coppers for in terms of **** Dublin spots that someone says "ahh come on it will be fun" and then you go there and within seconds you are in full on Ron Swanson mode with the locals.

They built a hotel where Break for the Border was. Remeber going there back in the day, every wanted to go down to the club whereas I used to stay upstairs and listen to all the 80s music ... dunno what that says about me

Jesus I had many a 6am finish in Coppers "VIP" section. We used to just go there to try pull women, turns out every other bloke had the same idea and it ended up just always full of dudes

The difference per pint of Guinness between The Temple Bar and another famous pub called The Foggy Dew which is a stones throw away was about €2.80. Absolutely scandalous, The Temple Bar's excuse was they have live music on throughout the day, that's how they try justify their prices. Atmosphere is unreal in there in fairness, stags and hens come in have one drink and realise how expensive it is a they leg it. In Dublin City Centre outside of temple Bar I reckon the average price for a pint is about €5.20 - €5.40.

Another way to look at it is that over the course of the last 10 games we have won 9 and drawn one, so two points droppped from the last 30 so we are very much in form.

City over the course of the last 10 games have won 6, drawn 3 and lost 1. Seven points dropped from the last 30. So by their standards they have been wobbling after their long run of wins prior to that. And as for the so called easy games, Both Southampton and Crystal Palace had taken points from City over he past ten games.

On current form City are the team that need to improve their current run of PPG more than we do.

They are not this all conquering team that does not slip up,if they were they would not be only a single point ahead of us. Yes they are the either the best or second best team in the league this season, us being the other one, but they are as prone to dropping the odd point here and there during a wobbly spell as we are during one and current form shows them to be in more of a wobbly spell than we are.

They go and bang out 7 wins on the spin, then fair dues but I think they have a stumble in them. Have a feeling they have a loss in them and that we have a draw coming up for us.

TRhough I do wish they had yet to meet a team that they stumbled against earlier in the season as they have a weird habit of dropping points twice against the same team. They have done that eight times in the league this season.

      Us home & Away
      Palace home & away
      Spurs home & away
      Southampton home & away.
3 draws and a loss for them is 9 points dropped

Their fixtures are Brighton, Watford, Leeds, Newcastle, Wolves, West Ham and Villa.

Just hope we make them win all 7.....like a few years ago. Make it go to the last day and who ****in knows.... Would be amazing if Gerrard, Coutinho and Ings could win their first league for Liverpool

I just hope we don't blink first from here. Let's make them win it ffs.

Also, great to see Chelsea dumped out of the CL last night but perhaps a city v Chelsea semi final would have helped them drop points in the league???

Hopefully atletico kick ****in lumps out of them toniggt and knock them out, then we do the same on Saturday. In one sense that would make them winning the league more likely but surely the pressure of them ending up without a trophy might make them buckle????

Agree with both of those points:
We need to hope Citeh drop points first and keep the pressure on by winning every game in the league.
Hope that Athleti sit deep and make some crunching tackles tonight as they're at home and need to get their crowd going.

The best we can hope for is to just do our thing, win as many games as we can and hope somewhere down the line, Citeh/Pep/the media are surprised by one of those lot left to play... and they drop points.

It's going to be absolutely mental for as long as we can keep picking up three points... if we blink first, Citeh will end up strolling it...

It is. No idea what I was thinking.

Point still stands about which team is showing better form though
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I thought they weren't allowed to do early Ko's on Sat after a Wednesday game? Did that not change mid season this year?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Could do with Lyon beating West Ham tonight.

EL final is a few days after West Ham play City, so that could be a tough game for them if they aren't resting players or trying to avoid injury for the final.

Irrelevant if City beat us on Saturday as that weekend is cup final so game would be moved forward and City would play Wolves when that mickey mouse final is.

More irrelevant as WH are 3-0 up.

Regardless, I don't think City will have an FA Cup final to worry about.

Let's hope we can do Villareal in the first leg (at home), go full strength against Newcastle, then rest a few in the second leg.
