Nah, too early to be so assertive.

By that rationale we are also on for 120 plus goals this season, which probably means we are doing all right.

Chelsea aren't conceding many and grinding results out
But that can change also. Maybe Chelsea will lose again, they have tougher fixtures ahead.

We are eleven games in you miserable ****ers. Its not as if fluctuations in form and results have never happened before.

It is like a bipolar convention on here some times. When we win 5-0 its great when we lose it is a disaster. WHO KNOWS. I am not saying we will definitely win it. But I am not saying we will not. Basing a definite 'no' on the 11 games we have seen so far makes no sense.

Its the 1/2 full 1/2 empty isnt it.

Not if every game ends up 2-2, 3-2 or 3-3

On current form we'll end up somewhere around the mid 70 point mark

          We will see

As mentioned In not ruling us out. We will need to improve, I’m not ruling that out either.

The big worry for me is the AFCON, but Chelsea have the World Club Cup to negotiate at the start of 2022 also. So many unknowable over the next 27 games.

I beg to differ, if we slip up a total of 5 times, by drawing them all, and city and chelsea both slip up a total of 5 times by losing them all then we will not have slipped up fewer times than city, and certainly not at least twice fewer then chelsea, and yet we will be ahead of them both
              I don't tip

Of course you are correct if we assume that the arbitary points total to win the league is 90 (for arguements sake)

At present we are on 22pts City 23 and Chelsea 26 from our remaining 27 games the easiest way (most wins) for each side to get to 90pts is:
                Chelsea W21 D1 L5 (6 slip ups)
                Man City W22 D1 L4 (5 slip ups)
                Liverpool W22 D2 L3 (5 slip ups)

Of course you could reduce the no of wins if you also reduce the no of losses:
                Chelsea W20 D4 L3 (7 slip ups)
                Man City W21 D4 L2 (6 slip ups)
                Liverpool W21 D5 L1 (6 slip ups)

Essentially for this points total us and City can all afford a max of 6 slip ups to reach a total of 90 points and Chelsea can afford a max of 7. Obviously if we all did this it would come down to GD so one fewer slip up that allowed would be advantageous.

Obviously it would change slightly for any given points total in terms of absolute no of slip ups but relatively presumably the numbers stay very similar
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I thought the defence was too soft but as we saw with Konate coming in and Matip dropping out we were still conceding for fun.

We can't seem to grind out results.
Or lose to Crystal Palace and Spurs, or draw at Burnley?

For 2022/23 season obviously, but no thread yet so this can go here.

Absolute ****. Apparently it works out a game very four days at club level (including CL).
