        You're taking the piss right?

When I'm not jolly it's because I've got to read all of you guys **** in the match threads and the negativity which ensues.

I've always been positive at what we were doing and how we were playing, because I could see a pattern here and the team improving year after year. If you read some of my comments earlier this season, I do say that I think this team is better than the one which won the league, they have matured and the team itself is performing at a higher level.

This is one of the greatest Liverpool teams we are witnessing, and with a bit of luck, they could become the greatest Liverpool side of all times. I remember the team of 87/88, and I think the current team is on a par and possibly better.

Let's just all enjoy the ride, *cough Tribute *cough.
        Are we winning?

That is not taking into account having to play one another. We could not go the next nine games with a 2.44 points per game VVD/Matip playing average and City also going with their current 2.41 points per game average.

Plus it is using City's PPG for the entire season but cherry picking a PPG for us.

Right now City could potentially finish the season on 97 points and a max of 94 points if we beat them.

We can finish the season on a max of 96 if we beat City and a max of either 93 or 91 if we fail to beat City.

So the way to win the title is the same for both teams as things stand right now. Beat the other team in the head to head and then just match their points from the remaining eight games.

But City have the slight advantage in that they can afford to lose to us and still be only be one slip up from us away from retaining the title whereas we lose to them and we then need them to slip up in two games.

A draw would be a horrible result as it would place us in a position where we could finsh the season with more than 90 points and not win the title.

In which case I would settle for winning the CL again and putting it and the FA cup alongside the league cup and then winning the title next season.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Unless either of us slip up before then it looks like we really would have to win the game, whereas a draw would do City, (yes you can make the case that either or both could slip up in the games afterwards, but to keep it in our own hands that's the situation). I can't help but wonder if Guardiola might try and bring out his 'smart tactics' for this one. It's a tricky one particularly for them in do they setup to try and win the game or not to lose it.

It is. Though the Villa game would be postponed until May if we make the next round of the FA Cup.

City play Wolves after the Atletico away match. If Traore was still there, I'd fancy them to drop more points.

So if we progress in the CL, we’ll have 9 fixtures in April.

We currently have 3 fixtures in May. Should we make both finals, it jumps up to 7.
The CL semi 2nd leg, and the CL Final. The FA Cup Final and the rearranged Villa PL game from April.

Great for us as fans though and at least everyone will get a break in the summer for a change.

Not everyone, that Nations League bollocks kicks off in June. Klopp was saying today that have England and Scotland have 5 or 6 games each this summer.
