What is the threshold for a yellow card this season?

There were at least two fouls on Elliott and one (rugby tackle) on Jota that deserved a yellow.

That starting midfield with maybe the exception of Fabinho back, starts against Chelsea for me. Elliot was good today and deserved to keep his place. All 3 probably deserve to keep their places though, so it’ll be interesting.

I think Jota is a bit of a sneaky ****house which is lovely to see.

He's 18. He is going to go missing/get tired/get out muscled for parts of games until he gets more up to speed physically and mentally with playing against PL level players.

Overall he has done a lot more right today than otherwise.

Yep. Excellent all things considered. His first team opportunities will be managed this season. He's going to be brilliant.

Thought we were OK

Elliot probably lucky to complete 90 minutes. He was unlucky with the assist for Salah but didn't contribute too much, nice for him to be involved though!

Mike Dean was awful, they didn't get a single yellow card despite constant fouling. Literally bear hugging someone and getting away with blatant fouls whilst we stood near them and it's a free kick. He's awful.

I'm not so sure. We still look light in midfield (physically and in numbers). But growing into a season isn't a bad thing.

Chelsea will give us a good picture of where we are.

Bit early in the season for it, but I love it when we get our business done early on the Saturday, and then can just sit back.
