Would be very unkopplike to start both, but there is a strong case for resting both. Virgil played internationals as well. Gomez and Konate must be chomping at the bit.

We played Rhys and Nat at CB's last season - so I think we can handle seeing Joe and Ibrahima for a game.

Well he's not coming back from a serious injury and my own expert medical opinion is that Gomez should be eased back in - Norwich in the Fizzy Drink Cup or something.

I would be surprised if we make many changes at the back I suspect one (giving Matip a rest) or two at most (giving Robbo a rest and Tsimikas a game). I think that there may be a couple of changes in midfield obviously one is necessary because of Elliott's injury, it will be interesting to see if Klopp goes with another attacking option such as Ox or a more solid option. I assume Henderson will start but think one of Thiago or Fabinho might be given a rest.

Would start Konate beside VVD for the very reason Shaggy mentioned.

Konate is a big strong, quick CB who loves a battle and Ibrahimovic is a big strong dirty niggly prick who likes to try and leave one on a player.


Want to see Konate stand on the prick and then Lucas Levia to pop out of the crowd with a big "Unluckeeee" after his own spat with Ibrahimovic at the weekend.


Tsimikas I would give a run out. He did well at the start of the season, so when we can we should play him to help keep him match it and to avoid the sort of burn out Robertson had last season from being over played.

Fab and Thiago I would start in the middle. One from Keita orMilner with them if Henderson is going to start the game after AC Milan.

Would sooner play one from Milner, Henderson, Gomez, or even Chamberlain at RB before Neco against a decent team.
