What’s the story with TAA for this game? I’d assumed his illness was going to be short lived and that it was a foregone conclusion that he plays at Brentford. Have we had any updates or news yet?

Doesn't seem to be anything since the Pep quote a couple of days ago:

Lijnders ruled out the possibility of the full-back returning against Norwich, but is confident that he will be back in time for the trip to Brentford.

“Our game basically started at 12 o’clock against Palace; he took responsibility to speak with the doctor,” he said. “It was not easy because these guys – it says a lot about our group anyway – they want to play everything, [even] if they feel a bit shaky or ill, but he took the responsibility.

"There are no Covid symptoms. We test regardless. He should be fine in a few days but Norwich comes too early."
      Hello mert.

Cheers for that. From what Pep said, it seems like he must surely be ok for Saturday.

An early contender for a possible title for Trent’s autobiography.

                Thank you Bender

Seems far quieter and less busy on here than I recall, from before. Is that normal for nowadays?

Cheers Dan, it’s been about 9 years I think, although I thought it was longer to be honest. hope you’re well

Certainly wouldn’t want it to be toxic but lively and a tad busier would be more like how I remember it. It’s almost like, when the team is doing well, people are happy to nod along quietly but this doesn’t provoke much discussion. You seem to get more of that when things go tits-up I guess that’s human nature though, so I do get it.

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

Is this the first outing of the yellow kit then?

                                3 Oct: City at home

One game at a time, and all that, but will be interesting to see how Klopp manages the squad.

Interesting alright- I assume when you talk about managing the squad, you specifically mean being in good shape for the city game at the end?

I’d nearly send a largely weakened team to Porto. After the good result in the first CL game, worst case we would be 3rd, and 1 point off 1st place.

If a lot of our top players were well rested for city, and they’re just after playing PSG away, you’d fancy us to beat them, surely.
