Makes no sense to play both them. They both do the same job- what does one do while the other is running down the wing and crossing it in?

Also when we have a lot of games coming up and want to rotate players, it defeats the purpose, to play both left backs at the same time..

Same thing with Jota last season, which absolutely ****ed us (and him)
I was disappointed about playing Jota last season, but there's no way Keita's injury is on Klopp. Only Naby could get injured by a single blade of grass, it was inevitable.

I reckon that's it for Keita. He'll come back from injury intermittently, play crap as he rediscovers his form, then get injured again. Plus, the Afcon where of course he will go.

I'm worried by the likes of Thiago and Jones who seem to get injured a lot too. Even Hendo. What's happening to us? Tyler Morton will be playing a lot this season by the looks of it.

Injuries to our midfield was entirely predictable - worsened by Elliot getting a long term one.

We do need to sack Keita off and replace him. He's no future with us IMO.

Unrelated, but do you still get tickets via members sale or did you move up season ticket waiting list?

Just curious on thoughts on the new ballot system this season. Worked out quite well for me after being shafted 2 seasons ago.

So for the last decade or so, I had a ST from a mate, not in my name but I’ve been using it. For various reasons, I took a one season holiday for this season, so will go to the off few games but not the volume of before. Those I do go to, will be through my membership, yes.

The ballot system is better, but apparently no credits from this season will be counted for next season, which is a pain for those trying to use an admittedly better balloting system, to try and build up credits.

Didn't Scotland do something similar to this with Robertson and Tierney?

Seem to recall watching a game where Roberston played further forward and Tierney was in defence.

Scotland play Tierney as left CB of a 3 and Robbo left wing back. That’s the standard formation.

The formation that went out recently and didn’t work was playing Robbo as right back, which lasted for 45 mins.

This. Everyone raves about his talent....we're playing Brentford FFS. He's 20 now. If he cant perform against Brentford in an otherwise full strength side then he's not going to make it.

Or, you play Minamino in behind the front 3 with Fab and Hendo holding.

Agree, he needs his games now and we need minutes from him, he'll surely start.

Ahh did not realise they were going with three CBs. In the bits of the game I saw Robertson was bombing down the left flank and Tierney was what looked like a LB slot.

Guessing that when Scotland attack Tierney pushes out to the LB slot to cover the space left by Robertson going forward and/or goes there to support or overlap with Robertson and then when under pressure Tierney tucks in as part of the three CBs and Robertson goes deeper to LB instead of LWB maybe?

Good way for Scotland to get their two best players (am assuming Roberston and Tierney are their best players) into the same team.
