We have 5 days to recover, so I'd go as strong as possible to get the win.Originally posted by Pablo View PostThe City game is so important that I'd be tempted to rest almost everyone who'll start that game for tonight.
If we did mess this up tonight there's still plenty of games left to recover and qualify.
If we beat City we go favourites for the league IMO (even if the bookies don't agree).
If we were beat, even with reserves playing, puts unnecessary pressure on us going into the City game, with 2 poor results in a row. I think the players would get more out of playing and getting a good win, than having a rest. Be different if they could sit it out and train for City, but obviously they can't.
Obviously that's assuming nobody gets injured. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

This could be a tough game. We are sometimes surprisingly flat in away games in the CL.
Porto have a decent midfielder. Forgotten his name. Serbian. Think he could do well at Liverpool.
Just seen this predicted line-up.... on an Indian website. Inside info?
Alisson, Milner, Matip, Gomez, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Minamino.Another MASSIVE game

I think your midfield above would really struggle so I'd be tempted to put Fabinho in for Morton, but other than thatOriginally posted by SB View PostAlison
Millie Konate Gomez Tsmikas
Ox Morton Jones
Mo Origi Minamino
That’d do me with City in mind & id hopefully take Mo off after he’s put us in front for young Gordon.
I realise that team might not win, but it's a risk I'd be willing to take given the importance of the match on the weekend.
Anyway I suspect Klopp will go a bit stronger than that.
