My son just told me he trainer with him for a week at Southport U21s, my son was 18 and he was 15 at the time.

He'd just been released by the Mancs

Gomez hasn't got his recovery pace back. He used to be way faster.

        How are Preston not ahead?

Preston’s plans are obvious. Long balls over the top.

          Great saves there from Adrian

How did that not go in. Gomez has been less than convincing tonight so far.

Seems to be a theme so far this season - we give chances away but the opposition don't capitalize. Last season we were constantly punished in similar situations.

The Ox is looking lively though.

This is awful... lol. I hope we get our midfield back for the weekend

Gomez well and truly 4th choice CB based on this first half display. Taki losing the ball all the time and running down blind alleys. We look very lacklustre… a good match-up with a feisty Preston outfit…

You can't really read anything into this performance as a team. Every time Klopp changes the spine we're pretty dreadful. There aren't going to be any important matches where he changes the keeper, defence, midfield and attack en masse.

You’d still expect some level of performance as a team, considering they are all trained in the same systems… pretty woeful so far…

They may have played in the same system but not as a team. You come up with a hitch-potch like this against even a lower league well drilled team and you'll struggle. And we always find it tough when we do.

Fringe players aren't really showing any reason to be considered in the starting 11 in league. Morton been ok, Blair looks lost.

There’s no cohesion at all which is understandable. It’s going to take individual brilliance to score compared to a lovely team move most likely.
