They are a very good side and Potter a real candidate to replace Klopp when he leaves. Midfield was ****e and there were massive gaps which impacted us at the back and up front

Eff saying Perkins is an emotionally chappy. The highlighted bit is the far more interesting part of the post for me. Do you really feel like he would be a genuine candidate to replace Klopp? Just curious as to the why.

Someone else said that Ox and Jones doesn't work and I'd agree. We all know Ox is a shadow of the player he was and could have been. Jones isn't really good enough either.

It's a lot to carry on a three man midfield.

We were **** - completely agree and super frustrating throwing away a 2 goal lead but I felt you were way OTT with your criticism.

I think Chelsea won’t sustain this btw - we gained on City so that’s the only positive.

Anyway another big game midweek with the same lads being rolled out in midfield again

I like Potter. He's patient and considered. He tweaked them and turned it around today when a lesser man would've tried damage limitation. Injury to Keita helped him obviously

Seems like circling the wagons around Henderson. He was every bit as bad as the other two, you could just as easily say the other two were limited in what they could do going forward because Henderson wasn’t doing his job behind them, as their midfield ran passed him. For the captain on a bumper new contract, he was terrible, and painfully immobile.

Thanks for the reply. Not really paid a lot of attention to him other than to notice he is usually quite measured in interviews and articulates his points well.

As for BHA on the pitch, I usually only see them play when they meet us so not got a lot to go on play wise

I don't see us winning the league this season, the squad depth just isn't there. Salah was very quiet today and the Ox was completely ineffective. Chelsea will win this by 10 plus points this season.

Anfield was pretty quiet today too.

Chelsea are massively over performing at both ends of the pitch - look at the goals they’ve scored vs their xG and it’s the same from what they’ve conceded….it’s very unsustainable. They are good but I think they are riding a hot streak right now

So you are saying the European champions are winning without playing well. And that’s a bad thing.

And as time goes on, and the manager and team have more time together, you’d think they would improve, but their results are unsustainable because of their current winning form?

It just seems like wishful thinking tbh. I doubt they’ll run away with it, but I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for them to turn to ****.

Not going to say they can or cannot maintain it as we saw during our title winning season how we overperformed massively vs our XG, but I do think they will be there fighting at the end. However I do not see them finishing about us.

I think we are getting back into the groove where a bad result for us is a draw and any other result will be a win.

So you say it was a **** performance, I said shocking (Both critical) and we agree on why it was a **** or shocking shocking performance and that it was a huge 2 points dropped but my take was hyperbolic? Chelsea have a bigger and better squad than us and it would be just as easy to say we won't maintain. They will absolutely be there and there abouts.
