Haven't written him off at all. Just think he lacks dynamism to really get too excited about and not a chance is he anywhere near Gerrards level. He's done ok, nothing more nothing less, but for a 19 yr old he needs to put on some muscle and strength. He's built like a 12 yr old, he's a bag of bones at the moment. There were multiple times in the Spurs game where he just got pushed aside so easily. Cant have that in the position he's playing.

Gerrard is one of the best players ever to play for us, we have had some good players who haven't been near his level so trying to compare a youngster to him is setting the bar too high IMO.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He’s a holding midfielder. He doesn’t need to be Gerrard. He doesn’t even need to be especially dynamic.

Chances are he won't make it. That's just the crazy odds any youngster has to battle. But shown some promising signs. He has a chance. Good luck to the lad.

The voices of reason yep best of luck to him. I’d have killed to have pulled on the shirt in my prime & here he is doing just that. Living the dream

Couldn't agree more. Definitely needs bulking up but a talented lad.

Remember thinking similar about Stevie G when he came on with a shaved head and a baggy shirt… He’s definitely got the right mentality, nothing seems to phase him. Great prospect…

There must have been a week, or even one match you could consider to be your prime

That said, have you seen Sergio Busquets? He's still a bag of bones and one of the best players in the world in his position.

There WAS a moment, but then I woke up.
