Posted this in the match thread and don’t know if it makes sense to others.

Morton looking good out there. Looks very comfortable on the ball and good eye for a pass. I wonder if they’ve been holding him back while they work on a few parts of his game and he’ll get more game time as the season goes on. They didn’t sell or loan him so must feel he can contribute over the season more than this.

I think if Klopp stayed he was gone, Slot was not in the position to make mass changes.

I like him as a player, but Top 6 Championship is his limit; but thats not a bad career & he already has winners medals :O)

He seems quite languid, bit like a young Michael Carrick. I liked the look of McConnell when he came on as he had that busier style that fits into our midfield.
          Never knowingly optimistic

            £15m for the Isak fund.

Yes £15M is much more realistic

Good move. It’s nice to see players take the challenge of going to a different league. Always liked the way he played and would have been nice to have seen him make it here but unfortunately he just wasn’t good enough.

I hope we have included a buy back clause with that low fee?!!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Only year left of his contract, a too common theme.

That is something that works both ways for us.

We sell players with one year left and we but players with one year left.

Does not mean our club or the clubs we buy from have messed up.

Just wait if that new law they are trying to bring into the game comes in. The one being proposed so players can walk away from contracts at any time without having to pay out a massive buy out fee.

Though I suspect if that comes in, something similar on the side of the clubs will come in too.

Feels like the lack of a director of football when Klopp resigned, might possibly have something to do with it though, wouldn't rule it out.

Maybe or maybe it is just something that happens on a regular basis to all clubs.

Be it a player the club is happy to leave the contract run down on or a player that wants to run down a contract in order to get a cheaper or free transfer elsewhere so they can get a much bigger signing on fee and/or salary.

I reckon those two options are far more common than clubs simply cocking up contract renewals.

Not sure the fee is massively low to be honest, maybe with 3 years or so on his contract we'd get a little bit more but I don't imagine there would be many clubs willing to pay over £20m for a player with a dozen or so appearances for us and a couple of years on loan in the Championship. Personally I would say there is probably a ceiling somewhere around there (Although I could be wrong)
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Possible, but I do think there were far too many loose ends left at the same time, but hey ho.

I think he's at least at the level of Kiernan Dewbury Hall, who went for 25-30 million having not played for a year.
