Re pen, giving jota benefit of doubt I think he tries to lift it over keeper and runs in direction he intended to send ball for a tap in.

Not sure it makes it a pen but that's what I think he intended to do.

Its all the 'phase' nonsense. That should be considered one phase of play. If a Liverpool player headed the a cross clear and then there was regrouping that could legit be a different phase of play but not what happened there otherwise every time a new player touches the ball it is a new phase of play!
This was one phase of play. The scorer slowed momentarily but did not 'give back' the advantage gained. A clear offside, as was Ox's. It wasn't a penalty. So 1-0.

Interesting tht in the Chelsea v Spurs game the ref that did not think Jota was pushed was happy to conclude Silva was.

Also, once he realised he missed it, he looks at the ball and starts to shift his weight to the left as if he's following the ball
Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge

Yep, exactly my take, there is no trying.. win a pen going on imo. He was trying to score a worldie.

I think what we have learned is that VAR or no VAR ref's are going to make **** decisions, some will go for us, some against us, and even with the help of 2nd (or more) viewings there will still be decisions that people won't agree with.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

...that the ones that go against us are because of corruption!
