If we had gone at them, they would have **** their pants like all foreign teams do. But instead we stood off in both legs. With a 2 nil lead it was understandable to be fair but it's not when we're at our best, just plodding about.

The plodding about is just not plodding about though. Are you Neil Warnock?

It’s crucial to keep the ball and try and be economical especially in European games and having a schedule with so many games as we have. Still in 4 competitions and you come up with that ****e mate the first time we lose a game. Boring.
    Are we winning?

Henderson and Keïta made a big difference when they came on.

We're through and I hope we can rest effectively for the next game.

Job done against a very good Inter side. They worked their socks off and for that the game remained tight. We showed our experience when they went a player down, slowed the play and kept the ball. Should have scored 2 or 3, Mo guilty of that.
We were below par in both legs in fairness. Their an decent side at best, we are a world class side that just didn't play well and we still should have had 4. They out worked and out fought us over both legs and played to their very best but lacked the quality to see it through. We hardly got out of 2nd gear.

Through and saved out bad performance when we could afford one - we are through and a kick up the arse is no harm. We were unlucky with the misses and last ditch tackles but we are through

They scored a worldie but we were sloppy in possession - credit to Inter though who were excellent and didn’t give us anything over the 2 games

Also what the **** was with the ref, really awful inconsistent performance, gave nothing for some really poor challenges first half, second half gave yellows for nothing.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Our passing was sloppy tonight. I hope we can have a good, convincing performance soon. It really would help us to find a rhythm. We’re almost so used to winning we’ve forgotten how to play one touch accurate footy.

If we're relying on game management while conserving energy it helps if our players control the ball and pass it accurately, otherwise we end up having to use up more energy chasing around after it, defeating the whole object of the game plan. And we nearly came unstuck.

Have a look at our goal difference in the league and all of the wins so far in the CL. We were averaging theee goals a game (probably still not far off). GD of plus 50. Top scorers in the League. We have monstered many, many teams this season. Man u away ring a bell?

It is easy to only pipe up when the games are tough.

OK fine. Knock yourself out. I don't think we're quite as good as half you lot do. IMO we were a better team the year we win the CL and then for most of the title winning year. I'll probably be wrong and we'll win the ****ing lot, I'll crawl under a rock and you'll never hear from me again.

I wouldn’t say we were poor, not tonight. We’re outplayed for 20 mins in Milan second half but today was 50/50 with them running their socks off without the ball.

Job done still in 4 cup competitions.

Our passing was poor tonight. But we still created 5 (Virgil, Matip, Salah 2 and Diaz) clear chances. To their… one?

We are a far superior side to them, we just didn't play well and still could and should have won by 3 or 4.Job done. Admirable performance from Inter worked so hard and got stuck in.
