I dreaded watching the Liverpool side managed by Roy Hodgson that contained the likes of Poulsen.

It’s so good to be able to watch this team go toe to toe with them. Who knows what the result will be but it’s always a different game because they’re one of the few teams who will have a proper go and because they do this, they always have to leave space, opportunities for the forwards to take advantage of.

Amazing that we're even debating what the front three should be, and i don't think there's any wrong answers out of the five but for me i'd go:

      Diaz Firmino Mane

Salah didn't just have an off night last night, he's been run into the ground and needs some time off. Diaz causes nightmares and puts a shift in, which is why i'd also put Bobby in, he's also on form. Mane on the right is a bit of a punt but he looks to have more legs than Salah.

I think we can all agree whatever the permutation up front, even after we've made subs, that Jota shouldn't play on the right like last night. From the left, through the middle or not at all, for me.

Jota & Mo off the bench with a point to prove.

Absolutely zero chance Salah is getting dropped for this. Whether he should is almost irrelevant. He's the best player in the world (probably) and we're negotiating a contract renewal

Mane Bobby Salah for me Jeff, though I wouldn't be upset if either Diaz and/or Jota started either

Have we EVER had such decisions to make?!
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

The last hurrah for Mane, Bobby, Salah all starting; Jota on 65 for Bobby & go from there.

Anyone up for an Elliot curve ball in for Sunday !

No lol. He probably won't make the bench.

Yeah, that's what I'd be looking at as well.

I think the team pretty much picks itself - personally I'd opt for Firmino rather than Jota. I think Bobby buzzing around Rodri could be key for us.

He's a big game player. These are the games where he shows why he thinks he deserves the big bucks. If he hadn't played so much football recently I'd be 100% confident he'd start, regardless of form. Still expect him to start, but Klopp might choose to rest him and maybe catch City by surprise at the same time.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yep, even though Salah was largely poor he still provided way more threat down the right than Jota did when he came on.

Likely City team then? I'd guess:

                          Ederson

                          Walker Stones Laporte Cancelo

                          Rodri
                          De Bruyne Gundogan

                          Foden Sterling Silva

I think it is the front three that is hard to guess. Surely Foden will start after his previous performance against us? Sometimes they put Silva in that midfield 3 too, but lately it's been Gundogan in there.

Even on paper we look really evenly matched to me.

They might play grealish instead of sterling.

It still boggles my mind that they paid 100 mil for him. They probably could have had Haaland for that or thereabouts.

Reckon Jurgen will go with tried, tested and trusted Salah, Bobby and Mane with Jota and Diaz coming off the bench in the second half to run at tired legs... Can't see Diaz starting after the full 90 mins last night. Jota has an awesome goal scoring record but goes missing for long periods in a game.

Thiago, Fab and Hendo in midfield will be our best chance to control KDB. Let's hope Citeh's back four are all over the place without Dias.

As much as our form's been patchy, Citeh haven't been much better of late and aren't smashing teams off the park. Cagey at best on Sunday, reckon it'll be a tight one goal in it either way. Would love to be wrong and we absolutely batter them from the get go, but can't see that happening with current form of some players.

                                I think Firmino will start.
