Same.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI still haven’t shaken off the belief that we’ll never catch them, stemming from when we were miles behind. Undoubtedly the nerves will kick in before and during the game but we've, what, only won one in ten there. Still resigned to second myself.

Really like this approach! Though I more admire you for it then being able to adopt it myself, the pessimist that I amOriginally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostHave no doubt that we are going to win. Totally confident of that and if I am wrong I can deal with the feeling of deflation then.
Find it much easier to go into things, and especially things I cannot have any impact upon like watching a game, confident of getting a win/result than pondering the what ifs too much and letting nerves get a grip.
Hell even if we lose I am still going to be thinking we can catch them again
No point worrying about it. We just need to go out there and play our game and put it up to City to either stand up to what we can do and better it or for them to be found lacking on the day.
Tomorrow they are Tommy Hearns and we are Marvin fecking Hagler.

Pretty much the way I was feeling, but after a couple of bits of really **** news this week I have decided that football has been one of the things that has given me the most enjoyment the last few months and I am going to keep enjoying the ride. I have the feeling that every game now is going to be stressful for fans, but that is good thing because it means the team still have everything to play for. Plus, we have Luis Diaz.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI still haven’t shaken off the belief that we’ll never catch them, stemming from when we were miles behind. I just plow through life and when there is something in the way you treat it with a mix of being geed up to face a lot of hairy ****ers on horses coming at you
[ame="https://youtu.be/-e9bZD86s3g"]https://youtu.be/-e9bZD86s3g[/ame]
and
a mix of being on the back foot and needing to make a comeback
[ame="https://youtu.be/f1yWSePMqsk"]https://youtu.be/f1yWSePMqsk[/ame]
Then **** gets real and you just assume you are the Hagler when the hits start to come in and that you are going to start swinging back soon
And if you wake up and do not know what happened, then turns out you were not the Hagler this time
[ame="https://youtu.be/BmWbOw6KJ6g"]https://youtu.be/BmWbOw6KJ6g[/ame]
So tomorrow City have the firepower of Hearns but we have the chin and resolve of Hagler and are going to stop them.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Not nervous…….yet….. really looking forward to this…….I guess that in itself is positive. They could thump us, we could thump them, it could be a dour nil all, it could be a high scoring draw….nothing would surprise me
If we win still plenty of work to do, if we draw we are still in it, if we lose it’s not over but obviously difficult. I REALLY REALLY hope that the officials are not the talking point after this game.
Up the ****ing reds

We haven’t beaten them since the season we won the League. Feels like it could be time.
But agree, you can argue a good case for all of those results. With Son moving to within three goals of Salah, it could be time for Mo to rediscover his goal scoring. And we have the x-factor of Salah.
A statement win would be very nice.Modifying post.

I've had to have a few beers to try and relax. Don't know what to do to distract myself, don't have the concentration span to watch anything on TV and no interest in the other football. Gonna be a long 5.5 hours.Originally posted by Norbs View PostBet there's plenty of frequent toilet visits among members here, explains why the forums are a bit quiet.
I wonder how many have gone for a little walk
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I am ****ting my pants over this game. Even if we win, we still have to beat Spurs, Everton and Man Utd - all potential banana skins for us.
That said, a win would give us the luxury of one draw assuming Man City win all their remaining games assuming they don't overtake us on goal difference!Was muß, das muß.
