Think it's more the case that we bought him to develop into an attacking midfield formation/rotation but as we're looking to overhaul the whole midfield this summer, we are starting from scratch and clearing the decks to bring in exactly what we need. I suspect he's a victim of the much-needed cull... not a reflection on him per se, more a case of 'wrong player, wrong time'.

When? He's barely played. Hyperbole is your specialty innit.

He didn't look out of his depth at all scoring the last minute winner against Newcastle.

More a case of not having a position in the side and Klopp refusing to change his tactics (despite us being dog**** and threadbare in midfield). Theres a good little player in there. He has technical ability, so surely that ticks a box for you the way you go on and on about Darwin's lack of it.

          Wrong player to be culling.

Getting rid of Ox, Milner, Keith and even Hendo/Fab (if a good offer was on the table) should be the priority. Not discarding a clearly talented player who hasn't even been given a chance.

Don't get me wrong... I think he's one of the last to go from that group... he's got youth, skill and potential in bucketloads above most of them... but it depends on how deep they cut. Hence some are talking about him going on loan first unless a mega offer comes in for him, in which case, we'd likely find it hard to turn down.

A loan is fine. He needs to play. His confidence will be rock bottom after this season. Get him to either a good football playing Championship side or a low table Prem side where he'll be playing week in week out and see how he goes.

We seem to have a good link up with Blackburn, so maybe a spot there could be on the cards.

Our system that is set in stone doesn't allow him a position to play in. I think that's why Elliott will struggle to hold down a spot. Neither are wingers and are a bit lightweight in a central 3.

A season on loan to a Prem team is definitely what is needed, then see if he sinks or swims. I mentioned earlier, loaning him back to Fulham would seem to be an obvious option.

It's a pity Elliot has no pace. He's constantly receiving the ball and turning backwards.
                      Very frustrating to watch.

Our system is set in stone, unless you are trent.
Klopp will never change his system, but for his favourite kid who can do no wrong...

Carvalho has been the victim of our ****e midfield.
If we had been functioning like a well oiled machine it would have been easier to integrate him into a unit that was performing. Klopp obviously doesn't want to throw him to the wolves and chuck him in with the midfield and watch him struggle to try and carry the rest of the donkeys.
The lad needs regular football. Maybe a loan deal will allow carvalho some time to regain his mojo. Hopefully the midfield firesale will mean we bring in 1st team ready quality and then the young lad can be reintegratedone in the future.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

That is not true or we would not have bought Nunez.

I think Carv has enough time to adapt. He did fairly well at the start of the season, and it would be madness to sell him now.

Errrrr the same centre forward Nunez that has been bombed out wide to get him in the team as the formation is so rigid?

are you actually serious Mo, you're lack of self awareness is something to behold.

He has made 20 appearances, totaling 721 mins. He's a kid, he has time but there are better players, several of them ahead of him in that position & if he was exceling in training, he would get more mins. Harvey Elliot has played 2.152 mins and mostly in a deeper role which requires him to do things he is not that good at.

Just because he has looked out of his depth doesn't mean he doesn't have talent. It just means he just might not be ready yet, which he is not & clearly Klopp thinks that, otherwise he would have got more mins. He needs games, we cannot provide him with games, loan move to a prem side would be ideal.
