Isn't it nice though that now this is no longer a big issue given we have Diaz, Jota, Salah, and Mane to pick three from.

Once upon a time Bobby being out meant a crucial starter was out, now it means or fifth choice attacker is out. Quality in depth beats quantity every time.

Bobby can take his time, not be rushed back, and be ready to do his bit in future games when called upon.

Precisely this : strength in depth means this is not as big of a deal as it once was.

We've come a long way!

Watched highlights of that Villarreal semi-final just now and I have to say I can't remember a thing about it, apart from the Firmino turn on Soldado. Completely wiped it - and the away leg - from my mind. Normally decent at remembering old big game but this one, nope.

We used to dream of this sort of fixture for decades, and today I have not even properly considered the enormousness of the match yet, 2 games from a CL Final. Every game has been monumental for about three weeks, and this is another MA-HOO-SIVE match.
