But honestly if you were reading match threads (and it's literally every thread) you'd think we were fighting to stay in the league

It's crazy. We're in May and we're competing for 4 trophies but every single match thread is a constant stream of how **** individual players are
stop man, It's a real time match thread. Do you expect everyone to be eating a cheese board and drinking a spritzer ffs. Its football, its hyperbolic irrational, emotional, stressful, intense and all part and parcel of watching any sport and that's why we love it. Everyone is different and react differently and I don't care what anyone posts in a match thread all good fun.. it's not a big deal whatsoever.Sensitive much

I don't understand it. The more successful we are, the ****ter we are. Odd
The more successful we are, the higher the stakes and hopes/expectations, the more stressed people watching are, and lower the threshold for mistakes and errors are. No, people wouldn’t be as critical of a missed chance or pass into touch if we were fighting over 7th or 8th place, it wouldn’t be important enough. The stress level is only going to increase over the next few weeks so things are unlikely to change, no point whinging about it, like it or lump it I guess

Or we failed to turn similar levels of possession and shots on target against them into goals.

I think that game was one that stuck out where we weee pretty dominant and didn’t score.

The levels being asked are so ridiculously high… FFS

I might be biased. But we ****ing deserve it we’ve given everything for months. Clawed back 8 points on them.

We just need one of Wolves, West Ham or Villa to put in a miracle performance for us. Three potentially tough games for City. The candle of hope still flickers.

Football is a ****ing battle sometimes. Like tonight. There is merit in digging deep, it’s not FIFA where players have pre set moves.

It’s also OK that I disagree, right?
Of course it's ok to disagree, but you make your argument sound definitive

Keita gave the ball away numerous times which put the team under pressure. He was playing on the right side, it would've been easy to hook him for Milner IMO

It's also boring as **** and the reason why every match thread is the same people spouting the same **** week in week out and the reason why so many left the site, or watch from the shadows

                    Salient point Kenneth

I don’t think he was amazing either, he grew into the game a bit. Jones didn’t impose himself other than 5 mins before half time.

                      Everyone else was decent.

I’d take one or two more ‘nice pass’ type posts to break up the sea of ‘he’s playing ****’. Not that this is you btw.

I might just be sat in the wrong bar! It’s not the way I watch football, never had been I like all aspects of the game warts and all. For me the definitive is ‘he’s ****’ ‘he’s playing ****’ as these comments only focus on say one misplaced pass and ignore plenty of other good work.

If 8 or more players were off it, we’d be getting absolutely thrashed.

Anyway, it’s a hill I’m prepared to die on. And May just stick to posting outsode of matches (as if I’ll be able to stick to that this season)

Yeah I'm sure that's why they left and you might find it boring, others not so much, also the site is much calmer and pleasant place since these amazing posters left soooo ... what does that tell you ?

Great result, I'm happy and you should be too

Was too much for me tonight also. Was on a stream that was miles behind and what I was reading and what I was watching were not simpatico.

Are we allowed to say Timmy also had a tough night or is that worded too harshly?

His weight of passing was poor, often meant the receiving player was overstretched and had no control so easily dispossessed.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He worked his socks off though and put in more decent crosses than Trent
