It could be a nod to the threat of Vinicius Junior; Konate is more athletic than Matip (although Joel is no slouch) and there is lots of ground to cover if/when Trent is upfield when Real attack.

This makes sense, but I bet this was a tight call A start in a CL Final at the beginning of his LFC career is awesome for him. I really like him, his attitude for a young player is unreal. He is good now, but could be one of the best in the game in a few years.
